Hi I'm Susan!

I believe that using several mediums helps to keep creativity alive as well as providing an endless supply of concepts. The tools I use to create rotate however my work is regularly composed on the computer. My favorite methods for creating art are computer based illustration as well as design, photography in digital form and in the darkroom, and through creating handmade books.

The belief that every decision made while creating art is just as important as the finished project thrives in me. When I mix media I pay close attention is to lighting, texture, line, color, and paper to ensure my finished image is satisfactory. Every new concept is a puzzle that must be pieced together slowly which involves playing and exploring through hardship to generate a stronger piece.
 

I use art as a way to improve myself and become a stronger independent woman. Also children inspire me and have given me a renewed perspective in remembering how I used to see the world and how amazing it can be. I have been able to revisit old memories and draw new experiences from them in order to give my creativity a boost. This has presented me with new challenges as well as interesting answers to many of my artistic difficulties and has helped me to stand out from the crowd in a positive way.
